Day 2 on the Weser

We woke up relatively early on Aug. 6th and beat some other touring cyclists out of the campsite. We ended up passing the couple of couples that did beat us out - one couple had a trailer in addition to their panniers. Whoa. Not that we were racing or anything.

These are from a bridge on the morning of our second day out of Kassel.

This bridge used nylon nuts in its construction. Crazy Germans.

And some sheep! Grazing along the river bank...

At midday we said goodbye to the Weser in Höxter and start the Europa R1. A most excellent route.
